On June 19, Baotou Chemical’s Coal-Based Olefin Intelligent Chemical Manufacturing Demonstration Plant Project successfully passed acceptance, marking a significant milestone that China’s first domestic smart chemical platform has successfully implemented the model of “Unified deployment from the Group combined with localized application by subsidiaries”.

Selected and announced in the 2023 List of Intelligent Manufacturing Demonstration Plants by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People’s Republic of China, the Project adopted a dual-mode construction approach—integrating CHN Energy unified smart chemical with enterprise self-built construction mode. By leveraging the intelligent chemical platform’s data acquisition and integration capabilities, it has established a unified-source-of-data business management system featuring unified business standards that cover the entire plant. This system performs unified management throughout the business of planning, process management, logistics, energy, equipment, meterage, quality inspection & testing, safety, health and environmental protection. Based on the PDCA cycle characterized by plan—do—check—act, the platform fully integrates management, operations, control, and equipment, horizontally covering key business processes across production, equipment, energy, quality, safety and environment protection. Vertically, it supports critical positions including field operation, internal operation & monitoring, equipment operation & maintenance, workshop management, plant-side scheduling, and company planning, providing a valuable reference for enterprises in the industry aiming to build intelligent plants.
